Homeostasis Massage Therapy

Welcome

Welcome to Homeostasis Massage Therapy!

I am a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT # 84772), certified by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC). I completed my training in massage therapy and health education at the National Holistic Institute (NHI). I was trained in both eastern and western massage modalities as well as anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and pathology. I utilize my training and work with each client to design personalized sessions that help my clients with wellness, relaxation and pain management. I am located in the Coachella Valley in southern California and I provide mobile massage therapy meaning that I travel to you to conduct your session. I named my practice Homeostasis Massage Therapy because I believe the goal of massage therapy is to achieve a state of equilibrium or balance.

My philosophy is that people are like onions. Ultimately we are all the same, yet each has different layers contributing to our unique experiences. The concept of intersectional identities was coined by Kimberlé Crenshaw to describe how each aspect of a person's identity (race, class, gender, orientation and other individual characteristics) overlap or intersect with one another creating a unique experience for each person. Our identities determine our experiences, which impact all aspects of our lives, including our physical, emotional and spiritual wellness. We are our thoughts, our actions, and our sense of self. My goal is to utilize massage therapy to empower my clients to achieve the balance necessary to promote their healing.

The purpose of this website is to provide you with information about myself and my practice to see if I might be a good fit for your massage therapy needs. You will find information about the various modalities I utilize in my work on the "Modalities" page; I don't like surprises and I understand that the unknown can cause anxiety, so I have included an overview of the initial session as well as each of the documents clients must complete on the "What To Expect" page;  I have provided information on the physical and emotional benefits of massage therapy on the "Massage Benefits" page; I believe that physical and emotional safety are imperative to any massage therapy practice so I have included information on safety and emotional release on the "Physical & Emotional Safety" page; and after reviewing all of this information, if  you would like to discuss setting up an appointment, you can send me a message on the "Request A Session" page. I will call you back to discuss your questions and concerns. If you feel I am the right massage therapist to meet your needs we will confirm the details of your appointment and if I'm not the right fit I will do what I can to connect you with a colleague. I look forward to hearing from you.
